The Artru Gold Mine is famous for some of the finest crystalline gold specimens mined in the California Mother Lode. The Artru Gold Mine is located in Mariposa County, California just a few miles from Yosemite National Park

Each of these fine gold specimens, millions of years old, is one-of-a-kind. They have been laying here in the Artru mine, just under the surface where the quartz veins meet the Greenstone dike for all these years, waiting to be unearthed.

There are three famous gold mines situated on this Greenstone Dike: The Colorado Quartz, The Artru (formerley the Dorothy) and the Mockingbird. Where the quartz veins intersect the Dike, Crystalline Gold is sometimes plentiful.

Experts believe that 95% of the gold in California is still in the ground.
